Why Choose Our Courses

We teach game design the way it’s actually done in studios.

03

Build Real Projects

Every course includes a complete game project you’ll design from concept to playable prototype.

Built by Developers for Developers

We’re not an online platform or a corporate training company. We’re a Toronto-based indie studio that teaches because we’re passionate about helping the next generation of game creators. Our team has shipped over 15 games across multiple platforms, and we bring that real experience into every lesson.

Since 2019, we’ve trained over 300 students. Most importantly, we’ve watched many of them launch their own projects or land jobs at studios. That’s what success looks like to us.

Mechanics and Game Feel

Understanding how mechanics work is half the battle. We’ll teach you the principles behind responsive controls, difficulty balancing, and how to make a game feel good to play. You’ll study classic games and understand why they work the way they do.

Prototyping and Iteration

The fastest way to learn is to build. We’ll show you how to prototype quickly using free tools, test your ideas with real players, and iterate based on feedback. Most of your learning happens through doing, not listening to lectures.

Narrative and Story

Story isn’t just dialogue — it’s how players interact with your world. We’ll cover branching narratives, environmental storytelling, character development, and how to write dialogue that doesn’t feel wooden. Your story should enhance the gameplay, not get in the way of it.
